Mirisen's Friends

Picture
In Book #3, “Moving Time”, Mirisen is having trouble with her friends right as Allisen’s best friend is moving away. Mirisen’s friends are teasing her about spending so much time with Domacie.

There are two different kinds of teasing: friendly teasing and mean teasing. The line between friendly teasing and mean teasing is not a distinct one, especially because you might have a different idea of what constitutes “friendly” and what constitutes “mean.” Mirisen’s friends aren’t trying to be mean to her, but Mirisen is upset by their teasing nonetheless.

If a friend is teasing you and it’s bothering you, let your friend know that. If they’re a real friend, they’ll at least make an effort to stop after you’ve told them you don’t like it. If they’re not a real friend, and they continue to make fun of you or make snide “just kidding!” comments after you’ve told them to stop, it might be time to find some new friends.
