Jack drove Allisen crazy when she first met him! Always bugging her, following her around, and even lying to one of her friends to ensure that her friend wouldn’t ask her to the dance. She thought he was nothing but a pest, until he helped her carry her stuff outside at the end of the school day. And after that, he seemed a lot less annoying. So much less annoying, in fact, that she accepted his invitation to the dance. She was apprehensive about it, but figured she’d give it a try. And she ended up having a great time.

First impressions aren’t always lasting. I’ve met people before who seemed like they might be annoying or obnoxious or just not my style, but once I got to know them, they became my friends. Sometimes it’s worth it to give someone new a chance.
