Elyse and Ryan
It actually isn’t too bad. We go down near the water’s edge, where there are kids running to and from the water but not really getting in our way. Ryan walks in the water; I make sure to stay in the sand.

The friendship between Elyse and Ryan is almost the opposite of that of Mariana and Ryan. The few times Elyse and Ryan hang out together, rather than focusing on an enjoyable activity such as boogie boarding or playing volleyball, they simply walk around and talk. Elyse is a good listener, which gives Ryan the opportunity to open up to her in ways he hasn’t been able to open up to Mariana. Ryan appreciates Elyse’s listening, and Elyse appreciates his acceptance of her less-than-enthusiastic personality. Of course, even through their heart-to-heart talks, Elyse is still keeping the one all-important secret from Ryan. Which, understandably, makes him confused and uncertain about everything when he finds out.
