Extras

This page is full of fun little "extras" about the Allisen's Notebooks series. This page itself doesn't contain any spoilers, but  the links do, so be careful about what you click on if you haven't read all the books yet!

This page contains links to:
  • Samples from each book
  • "Meet the characters" pages for books 1-3 (4 and 5 are coming soon!)
  • Notes on how I came up with the plots of each chapter
  • Excerpts of horrible old drafts

I hope you have fun looking around, and as always, if you have any questions or comments, you can email me directly at OfficialKelseyGallant@gmail.com. I will respond within 1-2 weeks!

old drafts

Every author has to start somewhere. I started writing the Allisen's Notebooks series when I was eleven years old, using sheets of white printer paper that I'd fold in half and staple into "books." While most of the basic plotlines remained the same throughout the years, quite a bit of the narration, dialogue, and smaller details were changed when I re-wrote the books for publication.

I enjoy looking back on my old drafts and seeing how my writing has improved. Some of them make me cringe, some make me roll my eyes, and some make me laugh out loud. I hope that all of them encourage you to keep pursuing your dreams and never give up.
