EP: PREPARE FOR THE IMPACT
It's funny how this EP came together. In December 2023, I was getting ready to release "One Light." I made an album cover and showed it to my family. My dad commented that it reminded him of the book series The Lunar Chronicles. Well... as it just so happened, I had another song I'd written that was actually ABOUT the Lunar Chronicles! I still liked the album cover for "One Light" as well, so I decided I would put both songs together on an EP, so they could share the album cover.
I decided to title the EP "PREPARE FOR THE IMPACT" because that was the name of the Lunar Chronicles song, and because then I could have the rest of the songs be ones that were intended to make an impact on people. I searched through my lyric catalog and found four additional songs that fit this criterion. Rather than creating the instrumentation myself, I found some talented freelancers and hired them to build the music based on a demo vocal track and specific instructions I gave them. Then I recorded the final vocals, and my brother Cam Gallant and I mixed the songs.
The project took longer than I expected it to, but I'm so excited to finally get the chance to share these songs!
